The Director of the film "Four" that has raised a high level of interest of the FEST, has arrived in Belgrade .

I am very happy about the great news that you have conveyed me. It is a very valuable information for me, for it's very important to know about the reaction of people in a country that is so close to Russia , where I am coming from. Although the Soviet Union broke up some time ago, all peoples living on the territory of that great country have the same specificities.

Asked whether 4 was a film about truths and lies, Krizanovski responded:

It is, but is also about people who lost their identity and individuality. My film is the story about cloning reason. The theme is universal and I wouldn't call it explicitly about Russia as an inspiration. Naturally, considering that I am coming from that country, I can't escape its heritage. I am convinced that people from this region will understand what I am talking about because, so to speak, we have different experiences, but the same roots. You here have lived under communism too for forty years, if I'm not mistaken. It a particular mindset and many generations have been brought up in the same manner. Whenever I find myself in a country that was in any way connected to the Eastern block, I sense it as my own. I can't explain why. It is simply so.

That is why I am in Belgrade . I had many colleagues on the faculty who were from here. I don't know if Belgrade , which I know only from their stories, has changed. I can't wait to see the reaction of the public. I think that they will understand the message of my film", says Krizanovski.
