The 3rd Belgrade Industry Meetings - B2B shall be held from February 29th – March 2nd, 2008 in the Sava Center.
The focus of B2B is the productions, authors and films from countries that can be “classified” in the framework of the Europe out of Europe Program. This platform includes all the countries that are geographically part of Europe, but still insufficiently involved in European integration trends, as well as those countries that are geographically outside of Europe, but with a strong European cultural influence and heritage: Albania, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Georgia, Croatia, Israel, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Serbia, Russian, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
B2B will during a weekend gather directors, producers, financiers, broadcasters, distributors, the representatives of culture ministries and film centers from the above countries, as well as the representatives of funds and producers from Western Europe.
B2B will enable film professionals – independent producers, representatives of funds, distributors, festival representatives and TV purchasers to have, in one place, an insight in the film industries and production capacities of the cited countries.
In the course of the second edition of B2B, three best projects were awarded: "Adep Akhlak" of Marat Alykulov (Kyrgistan), “Keep Smiling” of Rusudan Chkony (Georgia) and "Хоw И Waс Столeн by тхe Geрмaнс" of Milos Radivojevic (Serbia) - with 7.000 euros each.
B2B 2008 will represent 12 projects from 20 countries of the region. B2B will support one project from each group: EAST EUROPEAN (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine), EUROASIAN (Israel, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) and BALKAN (Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Macedonia and Serbia). The best project from each group will be awarded 7000 euros.
The invitation for projects from Serbia was released on January 15th. The project can solely be a full-feature film in developmental stage and its applicant can be only the producer of the film.
In addition to pitching, in the course of B2B the participants will have the opportunity to acquaint themselves more closely with one of the film industries of Europe out of Europe. One-on-one meetings will also be organized with the representatives of the 12 projects, as well as with the projects represented in the framework of “Serbia Special”.
