“Milos Brankovic” of director Nebojsa Radosavljevic will see its premiere in the framework of the program “Europe out of Europe”. In this story about crime, justice and punishment, we follow the lives of two people in love, the life of which turns into a nightmare. The main female role is played by Jovana Stipic. She plays Alexandra, a young reporter who is trying to do her job right in chaotic times. She is trying to find the truth and to believe in it. In these complicated relationships in the country, the character Jovana is playing ends up accused of a lie because of the truth she is seeking for. Consequently, Alexandra looses the love she has been fighting for. Her fate is unfortunate as the one of many other people in our time.
In getting to know the character she had to play, Jovana was very much helped by director Nebojsa Radosavljevic. She says to have had excellent cooperation with him. They met in the wake of the shooting of the film and connected well, because he was able to work with the actors with patients and care. She likes his calm energy and composure, which did her well in spite of the chaotic atmosphere during the shooting.
About the fact that she always played femmes fatales in her previous films, Jovana says:
“As a young actress, I’m not too happy about playing vamp women. I would like to play different roles and fates. In the theatre I had the opportunity to choose different roles, but on film it’s still not the case. I hope that directors will recognize in me more than a femme fatale. Nevertheless, it is definitely the first thing notices about me. The character I play is somewhat similar to me, we carry similar emotions inside.
