Final press conference of the 36th FEST

On the last press conference of the 36th FEST, journalists had the opportunity to hear from Miroljub Vuckovic, art Director and Milos Paramentic, Director of the FEST Directorate.

Vuckovic presented two soon to be announced competitions. The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia and the Film Center of Serbia will in the first two weeks of March announce a competition for the support and production of feature films. Vuckovic also said to expect that a bylaw on incentives for quality of films for minority productions, the development of scripts and short documentary animated films would be drawn up. On behalf of Mr. Darijan Mihajlovic, Culture Secretary of the City of Belgrade, Vuckovic announced another traditional competition to be called for by the City Assembly for the support to the production of films. Vuckovic pointed out to the amendment to the bylaw about this competition bringing about a special incentive for youth projects and animated films.

Mr. Milos Paramentic revealed to the journalists the figures about this year’s FEST: apart from screenings for journalists, a small number of protocol  tickets, screenings on the Faculty of Drama Arts and the Association of Film Professionals, about 90 thousand people visited this year’s FEST.
