Vesna Stanojevska, actress in the film “Shadows”

A Graduated Harpist and Naturschik

The guest of FEST Vesna Stanojevska is a professional harpist and member of the National Opera and Ballet of Macedonia. During her career of professional musician, she has performed with Jose Careras, attended the international seminar held by French harpist Elisabeth Bionoche. She is member of the L`art L`art Orchestra for film music in the School of Music in Skopje, where she tries to convey the tradition of playing the Harp to young generations. She has made her acting debut in Milco Machevski’s “Shadows”, as a first step in trying to find her way in a greater number of contemporary forms of art. Working on the “Shadows” was not her first cooperation with Milco Mancevski. Vesna has worked with him on the shooting of an advertisement in Macedonia and considering it was done as film, she knew what she could expect on the shooting.

“I learned about the casting by accident, from a friend”. I didn’t hope to get this part, let alone the leading one. I thought that, if I get selected, I would appear for a couple of minutes. I have understood my engagement as yet another experience in an area that is so much different from music. I wasn’t wrong. Milco helped me a great deal. He is very accurate in his requests and he knew exactly what he wanted from me. I hope that I will have more opportunities to work with him on film.
